5 Ways to Live Life to the Fullest

5 Ways to Live Life to the Fullest
Written by Student Pastor, Chasen Callahan

In the conclusion of our series, "You In Five Years," I talked about when we see how much time we have left, we get serious about the time we have now.

John 10:10 says  "The thief enters only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came so that they could have life—indeed, so that they could live life to the FULLEST."
If we are going to live life to the fullest we need to live in five ways.

1. Live with integrity
That doesn't mean perfection, it means to be honest.
Proverbs 22:1 (ESV)
A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.
So the question is - what can I do to improve my name?
Because if we’re going to make a difference, we’re going to have a good name.

2. Serve with intensity
I grew up in a time where if you belonged to a church, you served your church.
Make this your church!
Stop church-hopping and settle in through thick and thin, good and bad. SERVE!
Why?
Because if we want to live life in it’s fullest, we need to make a difference and leave a legacy.
Mark 9:35 (NIV)
"Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
We need to get serious about the time we have now.

3. Live with Generosity
Could you imagine if we looked for places that we could be radically generous?
The bible says in Psalm 112:9 (NLT)
"They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor."
Live a life where in 5 years from now people remember you for your generosity.

4. Succeed Humbly
Simply put, don’t be arrogant and prideful.
Proverbs 29:23 (EXB)
"Pride will ruin people [cause people to fall], but those who are humble will be honored."
When you live life to the fullest and start to get some good traction, remember where you’ve come from. Pour into someone else so they can succeed. When you look back five years from now you should be able to see the people you’ve poured into and brought up along the way.

5. Share and Seek Christ with urgency
People are going to meet God one day.
Heaven and Hell are real.  It’s time we truly see that time is but a vapor and is running out. Peoples' eternity is at stake.
What are you doing to point people to Jesus?
Everything we do should be to point people to Jesus.
If we are going to get serious about the time we have now we need to see the urgency in sharing and seeking Christ.
Friends, I hope this helps you think about who the "you in five years" will be.
“When you know how much time you have left, you tend to get serious with the time you have now.” - Reggie Joiner
