Why we exist...

Marathon Church exists to build communites that love Jesus, love people, and live on purpose.

Our hope is that you will find in Marathon a place you can connect with God, find meaningful friendships, and have a place you can call home.

Our vision is to create a church that unchurched people love to attend.

What is a Sunday really like?

If you’re thinking about attending a Marathon location in person here’s everything you can expect when you arrive on a Sunday morning:

When you pull onto our campus, our Parking Team will be ready to welcome you and assist you in the parking lot as needed. Our First Impressions Team will be ready to greet you and guide you wherever you need to go when you enter the building, including the New Here area where you’ll receive a gift from us and hear a little more about Marathon!

Have kids? Our team can point you in the direction and help you get them checked in and to their appropriate worship areas!

If you’d rather fly under the radar and experience Marathon at your own speed, simply head to the Worship Center and find a seat that works for you.

Each service typically lasts one hour and includes a brief greeting from someone on our team, 3-4 worship songs, and a message from Pastor Eddie Cox or another member of our teaching team. At the end of the message, we may close with a prayer, one last worship song, or an invitation to receive prayer at front.

If you need prayer, want someone to talk to, or want to find out how to get involved at Marathon, head to the Connection Center in the atrium where a volunteer or campus staff member can help you with whatever you need!

Visitor FAQs

What will the experience be like?
Our service features worship through live music and relevant teaching, that will help equip you for the week ahead. Each service lasts approximately one hour. Be sure to stop by the New Here area where volunteers are available to answer any questions you may have.
How early should I get there?
Plan on arriving to the campus at least 15 minutes before the service starts. That will give you time to park, check your kids into to their classrooms, and grab a seat before the service begins.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. You'll see anything from shorts and flip flops to dress shirts and skirts. Come as you are!
What about my kids?

Marathon's Family Ministries are designed for children from birth through high school. Your child/student will experience age-appropriate teaching, music, and fun activities designed to introduce them to a life-changing journey with Jesus Christ.

Family Ministry departments are led by staff and volunteers who will be there each week to care for and love on your child/student. We also utilize a check-in system that ensures a safe environment and allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up. You can pre-register your children by clicking here.

Worship

Worship is a core value of our church. We believe true worship is more than just music and words but a lifestyle that you must choose to walk in daily. During worship, we have access to hope, peace, and are able to engage with God in a special and unique way.
